Happy Nine Month Birthday!
You are a source of great enjoyment, and a source of even greater messes! We've said many times in the past month, "Mojito, we cannot have nice things anymore because of you!" Even still, we love you more and more with each passing day. As I type this, you are sitting next to me munching on your new favorite toy, a plastic hanger. This is both an improvement from our shoes and an inexpensive habit for you, so your Daddy and Mommy are completely on board. One of your funnier moments this past month was your failed, yet gallant attempt to scale our bed with a hanger around your body and in your mouth. Thankfully you accepted defeat and haven't tried again.
You have adapted pretty well to the colder temperatures and consistent snowfall, albeit you do feign paralysis from time to time when you have too much snow on your face or your paws aren't as warm as you prefer. This has forced us to think seriously about the terrible people that keep their domestic animals in their backyards instead of in their homes on these frigid days. It's a miserable thought and I pray for those animals.
Speaking of winter, we had to get you a serious haircut because you were dragging in so much snow each time you were outside. Here is a side by side comparison of your transformation:
Totally different dog, right? It wasn't easy to get used to your new look, because all that we focused on when we looked at you were your ears and your tail! We like it more now that your hair is growing back a little, but we will probably keep it shorter as long as the weather continues.
Thank you for being you... xoxo.
Your "Mommy" (HGB)
